In the 1960's a theater was built right on the freeway in Corte Madera. It was designed as a free-standing, single-screen movie palace that could demonstrate the awe of a 70mm picture with perfect Dolby sound. That theater was abandoned 4 years ago...vandalized 2 years ago...and condemned this year.
